Talk: "Reflecting on Lessons Learned to Do Better Moving Forward"
Melissa Almanza, M.Ed., BCBA will share her reflections, as well as those of her mentors and colleagues, around lessons learned during her 17 years of work with Autistic children and their families. This presentation is geared towards those who are both new and experienced in the ABA field, as it truly does take a village to make change and do better. Reflecting on what has worked, what has not,acknowledging areas where we all could improve, etc.- is an important step towards sustaining and strengthening our field, and the quality of it- through continued immense growth and the increasing accountability that is co-occurring with that growth. In an effort to model lifelong learning, let’s dive into where we’ve been and we’re going, together.
